Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered

How do I get started?

Get in touch through our contact form to book a free 15-minute consultation. It's a chance to tell us a little about what's going on, ask any questions and decide whether you'd like to go ahead - with no obligation.

How much does therapy cost?

Fees depend on the type of session and the therapist you see. We'll confirm the fee for your sessions during your free consultation, before you commit to anything.

How long is a session, and how often will we meet?

Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly at the same time. Regular sessions help build the trust and continuity that make therapy effective.

How many sessions will I need?

It varies. Some people come for a few months to work on something specific; others prefer longer-term, open-ended work. You'll review progress with your therapist regularly, and it's always your choice when to finish.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes. All of our therapists offer secure video sessions as well as in-person appointments, and you can switch between them if your circumstances change.

Is what I say confidential?

Yes. What you share stays between you and your therapist. There are rare legal and safety exceptions - for example, if someone is at serious risk of harm - and your therapist will explain these clearly at the start.

What if I need to cancel?

Please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or move a session. Your therapist will explain the cancellation policy in your first session.

Can you help in a crisis?

We're not an emergency service. If you're in immediate danger call 999, or for urgent support call NHS 111 (option 2) or Samaritans on 116 123, free and open 24 hours a day.
